Once again, we welcome attendees from across Canada to the 28th Annual Western Nutrition Conference held in beautiful Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

As with past years, we are offering an interesting and diverse panel of presenters from across the globe. The J.M. Bell Memorial Lecture will start this year’s conference, and will feature Dr. John Black with a presentation on “The Role of Research in Advancing Animal Agriculture in the 21st Century.” This year’s opening plenary session will focus on the impact of ethanol production on animal nutrition. The following concurrent sessions will provide an opportunity to focus on topics such as:

  • Improving nutrient utilization, and achieving optimal amino acid formulation for growth
  • Gaining more knowledge of the ethanol production process and the changes it could have on animal health, and
  • The use of Wheat Based Distillers Grains and DDGS in rations.

The final plenary session will provide an opportunity to focus on new developments in the way we feed to achieve high performance from animals.

When you join us for the Pre-Conference Symposium on September 25th we will share with you the “New Horizon of Animal Nutrition in an Age of Challenge for Food, Feed and Fuel.” The Pre- Conference Symposium is sponsored by Alltech.

We know you will come away from both the Pre- Conference Symposium and the Western Nutrition Conference with an abundance of knowledge and information from the respected speakers we have invited to share their expertise with you. You will also have the opportunity to network with other professionals across the nation who share a common interest in animal nutrition.

We are looking forward to seeing you Shine in Saskatoon!
